Many of you have asked where GlioLeo’s logo came from—meet Kim Griffin!  Kim was Shel’s roommate her freshman year at FIT.  Kim was an art major from New Jersey and she and Shel helped each other navigate their first year as undergrads and how to live with a stranger in a 200 square foot apartment…

When Shel came up with the idea of creating a brand to raise awareness and funding for glioblastoma patients, she knew that she would need a logo that represented the brand: strong, bold, and fearless.  She reached out to Kim, who was working as a freelance artist and photographer on the beautiful island of Oahu.  Not only is Kim an incredible artist, but she has a personal connection to our mission.  Kim’s father, Mel, was diagnosed with glioblastoma and passed away a few months later in 2017.

You can see Kim’s incredible work at shadylady.mypixieset.com—and on all of the products that we sell!
